Native shrubs play a very important part providing food such as berries, seeds, and nuts to wildlife. As well as provide shelter from predators and the elements.
BOG ROSEMARY Low growing evergreen shrub. Bright pink flowers late winter/early spring.
KINNIKINNICK Low evergreen groundcover. small white flowers in spring, followed by red berries in summer.
RED-OSIER DOGWOOD Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with bright red stems in winter. Widely used in riparian zones.
SALAL Low growing evergreen shrub.
OCEANSPRAY Deciduous shrub, showy white plums of flowers. Found in well draining soils.
WESTERN HONEYSUCKLE Deciduous vine, bright orange trumpet like flowers in summer.
BLACK TWINBERRY Large deciduous shrub with small yellow flowers that growing in pairs producing "twin berries" later in summer. great for soil stabilization.

DULL OREGONGRAPE Low growing 30cm tall, evergreen shrub with holly like foliage.
SWEET GALE Deciduous 'Aromatic' shrub wetland shrub. Grows up to 1M tal, with yellow catkins in early spring.
INDIAN PLUM Large deciduous shrub, flowers very early in spring. White drooping flowers are followed by a colorful display of fruits.
LEWIS MOCKORANGE Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with large white blossoms in May-June. Drought tolerant.
PACIFIC NINEBARK Large deciduous shrub, with interesting brown peeling bark. Small white flower clusters in May. Drought tolerant.
PACIFIC RHODODENDRON Evergreen shrub with large pink blooms in late spring or early summer.
RED-FLOWERING CURRANT Bright Colored flowers early in the season make this deciduous shrub very eye catching. Best when planted in a sunny well draining location. Hummingbird's favorite.
NOOTKA ROSE Very hardy deciduous shrub which flowers in small pink clusters, followed by red colored hips in winter.
WOOD'S ROSE Deciduous shrub with pink flowers, very similar to Rosa nootkatensis.
SALMONBERRY
THIMBLEBERRY Deciduous shrub with small white flowers. followed by soft, red, thimble shaped berries. Large maple leave shaped foliage. Can grow in poor soils.
PACIFIC WILLOW Tall, fast growing, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. New branches are bright yellow-brown. Small yellowish catkins appear in late winter.
SCOULER'S WILLOW Tall multi-stemmed deciduous shrub. Oblong shaped leaves.
BLUE ELDERBERRY
RED ELDERBERRY Large deciduous shrub with small white flowers followed by small bright red berries. Birds favorite.
HARDHACK Deciduous shrub with bright pink flowers. Grows in dense thickets in moist environments.
